They are just next to the popularity of the fab four on the context of being the promoters of the Girl Power. They have a blurry future when they started the whole gang. The band was composed from hundred teens doing auditions and numerous trials like frustrations from their handlers and music labels that don't want to sign them and so on and so forth but the girl power thing made a mark on their dream to be the Spice Girls.
Originally they are named "Touch" but the name itself never gave any magic touch to usher them to fame. Spice girls under the hands of the Herberts are enthusiastic about their music careers. Originally they are Victoria Adams, Lianne Morgan, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Michelle Stephenson.
Lianne seems to be pretty very very young that her age doesn't match up with the rest of the gang, thus this lead her to her being replace by Melanie Chisholm. Later for two months of doing PR work for various gigs and to various labels, Michelle thought that she no longer needed to do any work with the band. She had lose some touch and a great deal of positive thinking to mixed with the group. The Herberts called out a search for the replacement of Michelle, this lead to Emma Bunton, "Baby Spice". The Herberts saw the perfect combination on her person, thus Emma energized the base.
"Straight away I knew she was the one," stated Halliwell.
Heart Management, the group's entertainment arm ahd been ushering for their exposure but the members are not keen on the way they did to them which is something a frustrating thing to take note that they haven't any work contract yet.
They take their own initiavie to hunt for management agencies that will catapult them to stardom. Where they bring with them brochures, demos, and catalgoues. They manage to convinced Bob Herbert to set them up a stage to expose them to prominent public people. After their performance, the Herberts saw some sparkling talent base on the good reviews of them on their recent exposure that seems to put them on a showcase. Then Bob offered them a binding contract which lead them to record producers Absolute under Simon Fuller of Management 19 then afterward to Virgin records of America.
Their debut album "Spice" was launch carrying the single "Wannabe" in UK along with a video whihc was first shown at The BOX Music Channel. It bacame an instant hit that made the music channel aired the video for 70 times a week.
Then the rest is history for the Spice Girls.
